CCS had been one of the largest youth-oriented, mail order companies in the U.S. with an annual catalog circulation of 12 million. But after falling on hard times, the brand was being liquidated. Its assets were purchased and our Chief Creative Officer, Matt Price, was tasked with revitalizing the brand by focusing on organic outreach because of an extremely limited marketing budget.
Matt set the vision, led ideation, developed partnerships and created content for all CCS social media channels.
Matt helped revitalize the brand. On TikTok, for example, CCS grew from 0 to 300k followers in one year through organic growth (garnering higher engagement rates than most brands with 100k or more followers). Brands like Nike and Santa Cruz even began paying CCS to create content.
Kinser created a 5-minute documentary for ZGF about their inspiration and design process for the new main terminal at Portland International Airport.
